This Privacy Policy explains how Profio EOOD (“Profio Web Studio”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Nuzzivo mobile application (the “App”).

2. Information we collect
Account information
When you create or use an account, we process your email address, display name, authentication provider, and account identifier. If you sign in with Google, Google provides the account information needed to authenticate you. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and are not visible to us.
Pet and care information
You may voluntarily enter pet profiles and care records, including a pet’s name, species, breed, gender, date of birth, weight, health status, microchip number, passport number, journal entries, reminders, and related notes.
Photos and documents
Pet profile photos selected in the App are currently stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our cloud storage. Documents that you choose to attach to a pet profile, such as images, PDF files, or spreadsheets, are uploaded to Firebase Storage together with file metadata such as the file name, type, size, title, category, and date.
Location information
With your permission, Nuzzivo accesses your device’s current location to center the map and find nearby veterinarians, pharmacies, pet stores, grooming services, and pet-friendly places. The current coordinates are sent to our Firebase Cloud Function and Google Places service to perform the requested nearby search. Nuzzivo does not continuously track your location and does not request background location access.
Notifications and device information
The App uses notification permission to schedule care reminders on your device. Technical information such as IP address, device or user-agent information, application identifiers, diagnostic information, and service usage data may be processed by Firebase and Google services for authentication, security, abuse prevention, service operation, and troubleshooting.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- create and authenticate your Nuzzivo account;
- store and synchronize pet profiles, journal entries, reminders, and documents;
- show nearby pet services and pet-friendly locations when requested;
- schedule reminder notifications on your device;
- maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve reliability;
- respond to privacy, support, and account-deletion requests; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
4. Service providers and data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers that process information on our behalf or as needed to provide App functionality:
- Google Firebase — Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and related infrastructure;
- Google Maps Platform and Google Places — maps, place information, and nearby searches;
- Google Sign-In — optional account authentication.
These providers may process technical data under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or our rights, or in connection with a lawful business transfer.
5. Legal bases for processing
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or similar laws apply, we process information as necessary to provide the service you request, based on your consent for optional permissions such as location and notifications, to pursue legitimate interests such as security and service reliability, and to comply with legal obligations.
6. Data storage, international transfers, and retention
Cloud data is processed using Google Firebase infrastructure. Depending on the service, information may be processed in the European Union, the United States, or other locations where Google or its service providers operate. Appropriate contractual and legal safeguards may apply to international transfers.
We retain account and cloud-stored content while your account remains active or as needed to provide the App. When your account and associated data are deleted, we remove the account records, pet profiles, journal entries, reminders, document metadata, and uploaded documents, subject to limited retention required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backup rotation. Locally stored pet photos and local App settings can be removed by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling the App.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections, Firebase access controls, and account-based data separation. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Account and data deletion
You may request permanent deletion of your Nuzzivo account and associated data at any time.
- In the App: open Profile, select the account-deletion option, and follow the confirmation steps.
- Without the App: email fiodorov.vitaly@gmail.com with the subject “Nuzzivo account deletion request” and send the request from the email address associated with your Nuzzivo account.
We may ask you to verify account ownership before completing an email request. Deletion requests are processed within a reasonable period. Deleting your account removes the associated cloud data described above, except information that we must retain for legitimate legal or security reasons.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact us using the email address below.
10. Permissions and choices
You can deny or revoke location and notification permissions through your device settings. Some related features may not work without the relevant permission. You can choose whether to upload documents or provide optional pet information.
11. Children’s privacy
Nuzzivo is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate authorization. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, our practices, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy at this address and update the “Last updated” date.
